Bilic makes massive call on Diangana, £7m man starts: Predicted West Brom XI vs Fulham – opinion

West Bromwich Albion play for the third successive Monday in the Premier League this evening as they head to southwest London to reignite their battle with Fulham.

Both teams were vying for the Championship title alongside eventual winners Leeds United but now find themselves among the bottom four in the top-flight this season.

The two teams drew in each league encounter last term and are both still looking for their first victory of the 2020/21 campaign.

It’s three draws from four for Slaven Bilic and his side, so just how will he lineup his Baggies side tonight? Here’s what we are predicting…

Bilic could make just two changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Brighton and Hove Albion just seven days ago.

Between the sticks, Sam Johnstone keeps his place as the Croatian’s number one whilst he sticks with a back four, though this time, Dara O’Shea takes the place of Darnell Furlong to add extra protection.

He’ll start at right-back with Semi Ajayi partnering veteran centre-back Branislav Ivanovic in the middle. Conor Townsend continues to get the nod over Kieran Gibbs on the other side.

Baggies skipper Jake Livermore sits at the base of midfield, alongside Conor Gallagher and for just the second time this season, Matheus Pereira is deployed in his strongest position – behind the striker.

Bilic has one major call to make over Grady Diangana for this trip. He has been hugely underwhelming since his £18m permanent switch this summer. He hasn’t contributed towards a goal since the second match of the season.

Although, the Albion chief keeps the faith in him and could instead drop £5.85m-rated loanee Filip Krovinovic to bring one-time £7m man Callum Robinson back into the side. His appearance from the bench last week brought Karlan Grant’s first goal for the club, so he seems a wise choice on the right flank.

Grant should continue through the middle with Hal Robson-Kanu out through injury.

It means Romaine Sawyers, Kyle Edwards and Matty Phillips continue to be omitted from the starting XI.

AND in other news, Luke Dowling would be showing a MAJOR lack of ambition with Jan move for £45k-p/w calamity…
